And do you know what? Diamondz doesn't fit into the box of boring games we probably won't return to either. The Game’s visuals
The Diamondz slot machine is not one of the most beautiful things Synot Games has ever created. Basically, it consists of a good dose of blue background, a bunch of fruit symbols, and a few special symbols to boot. It's not the top quality that Synot produces, but we wouldn't dare label it ugly. It's just budget graphics. But let's pour ourselves some pure fruit juice, for a retro slot and a fruity one it is well enough. Sounds are a bit better, at least we didn't feel like turning them off, which sometimes happens (we could talk about Treasures of Asgard for a long time).
Basic game properties
Playing Diamondz online slot is like walking the path most traveled. Just two or three spins and you know exactly where you stand and what you're getting. The five-reel slot has three symbols on each of the reels and will let you win on 20 fixed winning lines.
We wished a little in our minds that Diamondz would have a two-way payout, but our pleas went unheeded. Winnings, therefore, only work traditionally from the left. The first symbol in a chained winning combination must be on the leftmost reel. But never mind, we got used to it a thousand times, we'll get used to it a thousand times...
Synot Games didn't take any chances with the controls either. They left it as the players want it and are used to it. This means that all the necessary buttons are located at the bottom of the screen. The most important ones for playing are the ones that select the bet amount via plus and minus and the ones that start the game. You can either play manually, where you are forced to press the Spin button after each round or automatically. Then the autoplay function spins the reels for you. However, it is not very sophisticated, basically you only determine the number of automatic spins. One more thing to mention is the favorite button of the brave, i.e. Max Bet. This immediately selects the highest possible bet for the following rounds.
Bonus features of the slot machine
The Synot guys have the bonuses figured out and we always look forward to them. This time was no exception and we had to write at the beginning of the section that we were satisfied with what we received.
An important bonus feature, practically like everywhere else, is the popular Wild symbol. In the Diamondz slot machine, it also acts as a joker. It only shows up on reels 2, 3,4, and 5.
There are two Scatter symbols. The first is the Diamond symbol. Just spin it anywhere on the reels at least 5 times and you'll win, but not only that. It will even move you into freespins game. The Diamond symbol always has a value on it, which is based on the amount of your bet. Even for amounts ranging from 0.25 to 10 times the total bet. And it is these numbers that are added together after at least 5 symbols have been spun to define the amount of your win.
As mentioned above, 5 Diamonds don’t only get you a cash prize, but also the opportunity to start spinning free spins. There are 5 of them, but if you're lucky, you can increase this number up to 50 while playing.
During freespins, a second Scatter symbol, the Diamondz symbol, also appears. Its value is determined by the sum of the values of the Diamond symbols that activated freespin mode. And how does this Scatter work? All you need to do is to appear the Scatter symbol on the playing field and you will get the aforementioned prize. You can increase it. This is because if you land additional free spins during the free spins mode, the Diamondz symbol will also increase in value. Its new value is the sum of the displayed Diamond values and the displayed Diamondz values. This applies during all remaining spins and you see this amount while playing over the reels.
That's quite enough, but if someone is not keen on such winnings, Synot has added the popular Risk, or Gamble feature to the game. It works on the standard principle, you have to guess the color of the card turned over. If you guess, you move on and can guess again, if you don't guess, you're out and lose all your winnings. However, in slots from Synot Games, there is an option to split or top up your winnings after each successful round, so you don't have to risk the entire amount you won before. We are happy to use it.
Review of the Diamondz slot
Although we were a little too quick to condemn the Diamondz online slot machine as being too ordinary, we ended up having a lot of fun with it. Above all, the interesting bonuses convinced us that it deserves a chance and we shouldn't have any prejudices against retro fruit slots. We did well to keep playing.
